Resalta is undertaking two new projects with long term partner Sava Hotels and Resorts. In order to increase energy efficiency, Resalta is renovating lighting at two hotels from the group: Zdravilišče Radenci hotel and spa in Radenci, and Rikli Balance Hotel at Lake Bled.
The project in Radenci will include the renovation of outside lights at the hospitality complex. The existing lights were inefficient, with environmentally unfriendly mercury luminaires. 108 luminaires will be replaced with highest efficiency LED luminaires, in order to optimize energy consumption, reduce environemntal impact and bring light pollution in line with local and international regulations.
The lakeside hotel in Bled, Rikli Balance, will undergo a renovation on indoor lighting. The many working hours per year, combined with the inefficiency of the luminaires, are very costly for the hotel. 287 lights will be replaced with LED luminaires, improving luminosity as well as energy efficiency.
The two combined projects will lower installed capacity by 23 kW and reduce CO2 emissions by 48 tons each year. They will also generate immediate financial savings for Sava Hotels and Resorts, with no investment required on part of the client.
This is the fifth project Resalta has carried out for Sava Hotels and Resorts, following a lighting renovation at Terme Ptuj, ultrafiltration and CHP solutions at Zdravilišče Radenci, as well as a geothermal energy project at Terme 3000 – Moravske Toplice. The long-term collaboration is an excellent example of the different possible applications of energy efficiency solutions within the hospitality sector, as well as the many benefits these solutions provide to hotel and spa owners, operators and visitors.
