Leading energy company Resalta has signed a 25-year contract with Žitopromet - Mlin a.d. for the design, construction, launch, and long-term operation of a solar photovoltaic system with an installed capacity of 854.1 kWp. The solar power plant will be located on the production site of Žitopromet - Mlin a.d. in Senta and will allow the company to become eligible to produce energy for its own needs and to feed any surplus energy into the grid.
Žitopromet - Mlin a.d. is one of the companies with the longest tradition and market contribution in the field of milling and grain production in Serbia. Since its foundation in 1884, the company has expanded its activities from flour production to the production of pasta and bakery products. Today, Žitopromet Mlin AD proudly stands behind Sentella's commodity products, which are trusted allies from households to industry in Serbia.
Over a contract period of 25 years, Žitopromet - Mlin a.d.'s solar power plant will generate more than 913 MWh of clean electricity annually and help reduce more than 15,300 tonnes of CO2 emissions. The new solar power plant thus confirms Žitopromet - Mlin a.d.'s strong commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, while the energy company Resalta acts as its chosen strategic partner in this green transition process.
