The first step for companies and institutions toward a more efficient use of energy is to have an energy audit performed. Since its foundation, Resalta has performed more than 150 energy audits in the industrial, commercial and public sectors. Each customer demands a different approach to performing the audit that is adapted to its characteristics and requirements. All the audits performed, however, share a common goal of identifying specific measures to improve energy efficiency. This is possible thanks to an intricate knowledge of energy processes and systems.
In the industrial sector, energy and maintenance services most often lack of data and insight into energy flows within the systems. An energy audit comprises a series of measurements to determine energy balances, as well as the efficiency and energy savings potential of energy systems. Measurements can be implemented at heat generation systems (hot-water and steam boiler rooms, cogeneration), cooling and compressed air systems. Measurements can also be used to define the working conditions (lighting, noise, air temperature and humidity) and to determine energy losses in its distribution (distribution of compressed air, heat, cold). Resalta's engineers have performed energy audits in nearly 50 industrial companies, which include:
