Resalta is proud to announce that as part of its decarbonisation strategy, it is partnering with Belektron Ekotrading to offer achieving carbon neutrality through local certified carbon offsets. Following years of experience in southeast European markets, both companies identified a need for local projects to generate carbon offsets for sustainably-minded local companies. As such, Belektron Ekotrading and Resalta have decided to join forces.
Resalta will provide offsets from projects developed to reduce carbon emissions, thus offsetting emissions locally with a broader social as well as environmental impact. Resalta's projects will besides reducing client's carbon footprint also have a direct local impact and higher visibility for clients. Belektron Ekotrading is providing its years of valuable experience in the voluntary carbon market in order to verify the validity of the carbon offsets, avoid double counting and ensure accountability. Resalta's projects have measured environmental, economic and social benefits in line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, making them perfect candidates for companies wishing to improve their environmental impact.
Through this initiative, both companies are hoping to advance the energy transition and provide innovative solutions for companies looking to decarbonise but for whom energy efficiency projects or a switch to renewables are not feasible or do not cover all emissions. The product will be tailored for international and local companies alike, with Resalta and Belektron Ekotrading providing further advice and consultancy for long-term carbon offsetting and abatement.
At the partnership signing on Friday September 24th, Luka Komazec, Resalta CEO stated:
This partnership is an important step for Resalta as it helps us to expand into a segment for which there is a real market demand that isn't necessarily being met on a local level.
