Resalta was recently appointed by VISA-PROM d.o.o., a reputable wood product manufacturing company from Northern Serbia, to construct a 190 kWp solar PV plant on the company’s rooftops in Kanjiža. The Client will become a prosumer and this is just the very first step on their carbon neutrality path, as additional solar capacity & other energy efficiency measures are expected in the near future.
Visa-Prom d.o.o. is a company that has been successfully operating on the territory of Serbia for more than twenty years from three business centers located in Kanjiža, Subotica and Horgoš and is one of the leading manufacturers of epal wooden pallets, poplar veneers, plywood and pressed blocks for pallets.
After preliminary assessments made by Resalta, the Client opted for construction of a 190 kWp solar power plant in Kanjiža, Serbia, which will be the Client's first step towards reducing its carbon footprint and protecting against the extreme volatility of energy prices that we are currently facing. The project will be carried out in two phases, of which 140 kWp is planned to be installed in the first phase. At the beginning of September 2022, Resalta started conducting statical assessments and other preparatory activities, and the project is currently in the phase of obtaining the necessary approvals for the execution of construction works and connection of the production facility to the electricity distribution system.
After construction and its commissioning, the solar power plant will produce 238 MWh of electricity from renewable energy sources and lead to a reduction of CO2 emissions by 115 tons per annum.
